(Memphis TN)- On Sunday April 18, 2010 the youth empowerment initiative led by Grammy Nominated Recording Artist Trey Songz and Philanthropist/Author Noonie G Ward will be activated in Memphis TN
An initiative that was originally birthed on the South Side of Chicago, Songz 4 Peace will take place in its fourth market since its August 5, 2008 launch at Linblom High School. The initiative is being hosted by Hillel of Memphis on the University of Memphis Campus. Sponsors for Songz 4 Peace Memphis include official sponsor Alex Tievy of LGND Entertainment, The Memphis Grizzlies and CarolinaPad.com. This event is not open to the public. All attending groups must contact Nicole Pierce at cnicolepr@gmail.com for confirmation. This is an event for middle school and high school groups, all groups must attend with an approved organization or school. We are also seeking items to fill 350 gift bags and additional prizes for youth. If interested please refer to contact info listed above. ABOUT SONGZ 4 PEACE: Songz 4 Peace is a non violent youth initiative formed by Chicago Philanthropist Noonie G & 2X Grammy Nominated Recording Artist Trey Songz. The birth of Songz 4 Peace took place in Chicago Illinois at Lindblom High School on August 5, 2008. The purpose is to educate and empower urban youth as well as influence them to make wiser decisions and utilize the options/resources available to them. Since its launch, Songz 4 Peace has been activated in Richmond VA at Thomas Jefferson High School, Minneapolis Minnesota at Brooklyn Center High School and has hosted several youth empowerment engagements throughout the country lead by Trey Songz and his team.
