What Made You Become A Trey Songz Fan?

Who all can remember that spring day in 2005 when Trey Songz hit the scene with his Twista featured single "Just Gotta Make It?" Well kudos to you, because I truly can't... But I do remember liking that song and loving his second single Gotta Go. Trey has come a long way since then and even now as he celebrates his success on his Ready album, things are taking off for this young hustler...

And I do use the term Hustler lightly now, because he doesn't have to do the things he has once done to stay relevant. For the fans who remember skinny Trey with the cornrow braids, baggy jeans, and beaters; when the industry was transitioning so fast and Trey stumbled a little but kept his pace... his mixtapes kept us in the know; his remixes kept him in our presence, right? Now he's doing national tours and selling out his own shows (NYC!!) and we're anxiously awaiting the day he can say "Mixtape time, YUUUP!"

For the new fans who only remember Trey after he cut his hair, sharpened his look and threw us that charming smile in the Last Time video in 2007. This question is for the fans who missed out on In My Mind, but came in on Anticipation, Genesis and every song in-between... what attracted you to Trey Songz? Tell me, what drew you in to becoming a fan of this known-talent?

Not to mention, I see we have a couple of fans who just joined the fanbase in 2009 right before Ready was released, but feel they can categorized as a long-time fan. I'm not mad atcha! Do your thing, but what made you become a Trey Songz fan?

*My post are strictly meant to entertain and bring enjoyment to SongzWorldWide. Every once in a while I think Trey fans need an exciting expression post and this is surely one of them! :)

  4. I remember the Gotta Go video and was pleasantly surprised with the vocals and lyrics. It related to a situation I was going thru at that time (as most of his songs have), and when I can relate to an artists' lyrics, they have a listener on their hands. With the continuation of the hot tracks and his transformation from G to GQ, I really began to appreciate him as an artist and his grown and sexy status just took me over! He is such a talented indivdual and I have been a fan of his ever since. I Love You Trey!!
